Vineyards in Kent

19 estates open to visitors

Ordered from London outwards — 01 is the closest, 19 is nearest the coast.

Kent is where English wine got serious, and it is still the easiest county to visit without a plan. The estates sit close enough together that two in a day is comfortable, and several are a short taxi from a mainline station. Follow the line: the further down you go, the further east you travel, and the wilder the countryside gets.

The Kent coast

Distances are straight-line from central London, as a rough guide to how far out each estate sits — not driving distance.

Two in a day

Kent packs its vineyards close together, which is the real reason to come here rather than anywhere else. These pairs sit near enough to visit both in an afternoon — as long as one of you isn't drinking, or you've booked a taxi.

Straight-line distances — allow a bit longer by road.
