Squerryes
Westerham, Kent
A 300-year-old family estate, with vineyards planted on the chalk-rich North Downs.

Anahita's note — I've visited
Squerryes was full of life the day I visited — beyond the wine, which was excellent, the whole atmosphere just worked. There was a group having a wine-tasting party while I was there, and the host running it had dressed up in the same theme as the guests, which said a lot about the place. I wandered right down into the vines for photos, and loved that there's a proper indoor space — a lovely two-floor room plus a big terrace — for bigger groups or events, as well as a more relaxed corner where dogs are welcome. A brilliant spot for a full day out.
Best for: a full day out · I'd go back
